Logan Morrissey

Teaching Professional

Logan is a native of Lee’s Summit, MO currently living in Topeka, KS. Throughout her junior tennis career she trained at Jayhawk Tennis Center under Kyle Markham. At Lee’s Summit North High School she helped her team win a State Championship. She also competed in USTA tournaments and was top 20 in the Missouri Valley.

She went on to play at Washburn University where she excelled both on the court and in the classroom. She holds the record for most doubles wins in school history and was a two time All-American. She was the ITA Regional Doubles Champion with Alexis Czapinski. At nationals, together they took 3rd place. They proceeded to finish the season ranked #1 in the country. Logan also helped lead the team to a Top 5 ranking in the nation, was an MIAA Scholar Athlete and MIAA Tennis Academic Excellence Award winner, Central Region Most Improved Senior and Team Captain.

Throughout college she coached at Jayhawk Tennis Center, assisting with their summer junior programming. Post graduation, she was the Graduate Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s teams at Washburn University during the 2020-2021 season. That year, she coached the Women’s team to a National Tournament appearance.
