A Lawrence native, Alexis is a former Free State Firebird, where she placed top-5 in both singles and doubles all four years in 6A State. Her highest finish was during her senior year, where she placed 2nd in singles. Also a long-time USTA competitor, she finished her junior career ranked as high as No. 2 in the Missouri Valley.

Alexis’ collegiate career began at the University of Kansas for 2 years, then she transferred to Washburn University. At Washburn, she was a two-time All-American in both singles and doubles, MIAA Co-Player of the Year, Team Captain, and was the #2 ranked singles player and the #1 ranked doubles player in the nation with partner Logan Morrissey. With Logan in 2018, she won the doubles ITA Central Regional and placed third in the ITA National Cup.

Coming to Kossover from Jayhawk Tennis Center, Alexis has developed players of all levels and ages; from working with top-50 national junior talent, State finishers, 10U tennis, and adults. Prior to Jayhawk Tennis Center, Alexis was a tennis pro at The Highlands Country Club in Garrison, NY, as well as the volunteer assistant coach for the Army West Point Women’s Tennis Team.

With Alexis’ ties to the Topeka tennis community throughout her tennis career, she is excited to return and give back to such a thriving community. She wishes to continue to foster and elevate Topeka tennis through increased community involvement, national-level tournaments, adult leagues/events, and growing the next generation of junior players!
